Friday 4th June: Depart Brisbane approx. 1400 with ebb.
Phil Bettney intends to anchor at China Camp Friday evening. This is recommended due to proximity to Petaluma river. Tide turns for a flood at Angel Island at 1730.
Cruisers can choose their own destination on Friday. You can contact the harbormaster at Richmond and see if he can accommodate you. Other options include Ayala Cove and Marina Bay, Richmond. This is up to you but consider that most clubs may not be open to non-members.
Saturday 5th June: Rendezvous 0900 at entrance to Petaluma river. We’ll enter on a flood (3ft above mllw) with high tide at Petaluma drawbridge at 1158. We should make the river trip in less than two hours but I will request the bridge opening for 1100.
We dock outside PYC and get the code from the harbormaster. Docking is $32 per night. If the club is open, we’ll already be expected. Otherwise we can have Happy Hour on the dock, then cruisers can choose their own destinations in the area for dining, and so-on.
Sunday 6th June: Depart Petaluma 1100 (HT 1301). Leaving on a late flood may allow a boat to become un-stuck in the event of a grounding. We need to order the bridge raised at this time and leave together.
NOTE: The bridge may be open anyway on a weekend. Also, anyone is free to arrive sooner, stay longer, etc. Low tide at the Bay Bridge is 1646 (Rincon Point) for a late flood back to Brisbane.
