Sierra Point Yacht Club 2020 Racing Program

 

 

USCG has given us approval to start resume racing. The first race will be held on Tuesday July 7th. We  recommend that racers only crew with people who they are sheltering in place with or is in their "pod". There will be no dinner after the race at this time.

Tuesday Beer Can Races Starting July 7th, 2020 
Continuing each Tuesday evening for 8 weeks until the final race August 25th, 2020. 

 



These races are intended for a casual introduction to racing. Enjoy the Bay and your boat with these fun midweek evening races. There will be two starts for each race. Boats with a PHRF rating 160 and above will start at 6:00 pm. Boats with a PHRF rating below 160 will start at 6:15 pm. Races will start near the entrance channels of the Brisbane & Oyster Pt. Marinas. See course information in the Instructions. Races are in the past were followed by no-host bar and dinner in the clubhouse, but due to COVID-19 limitations dinner will not be be served during this season.


 

 

 

 

Prizes for 1st through 3rd place will be awarded each week.

 

Fees: $100 for the complete series of 17 races - $15 for any individual race.

 

$100 fee may be applied to membership until August 27th 2019.

 

No charge for SPYC members.

 

Registration form and fees must be submitted prior to racing.
