In Memorium

We remember with love and gratitude the cherished members of the Sierra Point Yacht Club who have recently crossed the bar. Their presence enriched our community, and their absence leaves a quiet wake in our hearts.

Mohammad Rizwan ("Rizz")
A spirited soul and a true friend to many at SPYC. Rizz’s warmth and humor lit up every gathering. His legacy sails on in the stories we share and the friendships he helped forge.

Dennis Lien

Dennis brought calm waters and steady winds to those around him. His quiet strength and generous spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.  Dennis passed peacefully in his sleep Wednesday 7/9//2024 at 8AM.  Dennis was a fixture at the club for many years.  He was also an artist, a story teller, a father, a sailor and a friend to many.
“With the ringing of eight bells, we mark the end of Dennis' watch — may he rest in eternal peace.”

Carolyn Parker

“She was such a lovely, unique, heart-based human.” Carolyn had a gift for meaningful conversation and soulful connection. Her wisdom and authenticity touched many, and her memory continues to inspire us. Be at peace, dearest Carolyn.

Roy Perez

Roy was a kindly man whose gentle presence graced the Marina and the Club. We will gather this Friday, 2/24 at 6PM to ring his final 8 bells and share a potluck in his honor. A great, great guy—he will be deeply missed. Love you, Roy.

Diana Bortolussi

Another bright light has blinked out. Diana walked in beauty, and her grace and kindness left a lasting impression. We will miss you so much, Diana. Rest in peace.
