“Beer Can Racing Orientation”

Sunday April 23 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

Sierra Point Yacht Club will present a discussion of the 2019 Beer Can Racing season for sailors new to this type of racing.  Beer Can Races are intended to be a relaxed and casual format that allows new participants to learn about sailboat racing, gives experienced racers and their crews a forum for practice, and lets everyone have fun on the water.
The presentation will explain our race courses, schedule, procedures, as well as provide suggestions and advice for new racers.  This will not be a highly technical presentation, rather we will strive to give a sense of the race experience and encourage sailors to learn by participating.

The presentation will be held at the Yacht Club – 500 Sierra Point Parkway, Brisbane.
